Network for Spiritual Progressives

Book Group

The Alameda Chapter has a bi-monthly book discussion/potluck group. So far we've read Rabbi Michael Lerner's The Politics of Meaning, Lynne Twist's Soul of Money, Jim Wallis' God's Politics, Will Tuttle's The World Peace Diet, Elisabet Sahtouris' Earthdance, Michael Pollan's Omnivore's Dilemma, Bowling Alone by Robert Putnam, Kabul Beauty School by Deborah Rodriguez, Frances Moore Lappe's Getting a Grip and Francis Collins' The Language of God.

Our next book group meeting is scheduled for Sunday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. The book for discussion is The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein. We encourage all participants to read at least 50% of the book; it certainly helps with discussions. ;-}
